The Usage of 2-Ethoxyphenol
.t is not only an important intermediate of medicine, pesticide and fragrance, but also the most important raw material for synthesizing ethyl vanillin.
o-ethoxyphenol (Pyrocatechol monoethyl ether) , also known as 2-ethoxyphenol or 2-hydroxypheneether, is an important fine chemical with a variety of uses. Its main uses include:
1. Synthetic spices: O-ethoxyphenol is an important raw material for the synthesis of ethyl vananthine, eugenol, sandalwood 803 and other precious spices. In addition, it can be used in the synthesis of other spices, such as the preparation of apricot, banana, cherry, melon and strawberry fruity flavors, which are widely used in frozen foods, dishes and pastries.
2.Medicine and pesticide: o-ethoxyphenol can be used as raw material of medicine and pesticide, and participate in the synthesis process of many drugs.
